General Information:
During the five days of this equine course veterinarians will be taught to diagnose and treat dental poblems in horses.
Starting with an update in equine oral anatomy, participants will receive information regarding: developmental, traumatic and age-related malocclusions ans defects including equine oral X-ray tecniques ans common pathological findings. A majority of the full range of instruments will be available for hands-on use. Standard techniques including sedation, nerve blocks and examination procedures will be extensively practised on wet specimens in the pathology department, followed by a full day oft practical hands-on treatment on numerous live horses at the famous Hannoveranian National Stud Farm.
The participants will be split into groups, Each group will make a diagnosis and treatment plan for a single horse. Afterwards they will check their results with the lecturers and if correct, conduct the treatment or they will have to re-access their findings and diagnosed treatment prior to treating the animal. Participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments and will be trained to optimize the use of them and recognize any defects.

• Extraction of Milk Teeth, Wolf Teeth & Stallion Teeth
• Various treatment methods depending an respective
results/findings
• Debriefing session
